The Yoruba were enslaved and brought to Brazil in the 16th century by European slave traders. The exact date is unknown. Since their arrival in Brazil, African slaves have made tremendous contributions to the country. Come along as we follow the contributions of African cultures, specifically the Yoruba tribe.
